Over my career I’ve filled out a lot of different profiles including Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, Team Management Profile (TMP) and extended DISC. When setting up my coaching business I needed to select one that I felt would serve my clients and give insights that would be valuable and move them towards thriving in their roles and life. After careful consideration I selected extended DISC psychometric profiling, which is a behavioral profile with research roots in the work of Carl Jung and William Marston. It goes through a validation process every two years, giving some confidence on results.
What stood out for me was the way reports could be customized to what clients were most focused on. It allows us to gain insights on ourselves and others across many dimension, giving us the tools to make tangible improvements to our relationships and how we communicate, handle conflict and work in team situations. As someone who has navigated fatigue, the insights on what takes more or less energy for us to do, was also particularly impactful.
